My last trip to the museum was fun but a little light on classic Trek stuff.
Now that the 50th display is going on my son Nick and I have decided to go check it out again.
We will be there November 12th to the 14th to see the museum so if anyone will be there at that time lets get together for a visit.
Awesome. I’m going to try to be there at the same time as well. We should make this a proper TFW meet-up if anybody else can come.
Who else on the site lives near Seattle?
I hope you can make it Ryan.
Dave posted on the Zone that he thinks the exhibit is ending at the end of January.
Not sure if this is the case but I want to make sure I see this TOS display.
Hmmm I’ll have to see if I can swing it. I may have a gig on the 11th but I’ll need to confirm that.
Guys if you come up you have to come by. I live 50 miles Northeast of Seattle.
We are preparing for the worst storm since 62 this weekend
Hey Cary, I was gonna pm you.
Nick and I just have to be on the Jupiter.
I do have that gig on the 11th so travel would be on the 12th.
Scott, we are also traveling on the 12th.
Our arrival time in Seattle is 1:30 in the afternoon.
We will fly back home on the 15th.
Hi guys. I just booked my flights. Alan, Jeff, and I will be there 12 November (Sat) around 2:30pm to Monday evening. Can’t wait.
What day shall we plan to meet-up at the museum? I’d also be happy to make a trip up to meet @Cyberpred1. It would be great if @Buddahaid could join us!
See you guys November 12
Really looking forward to this.
I hope you are not dissapointed
Any recommendations for lodging? I have the days off now and will be booking.
I’ll have to fly out on the twelfth same as Gary so Sunday looks like the best museum day.
Nick and I are staying here:
BEST WESTERN Executive Inn
200 Taylor Avenue N
Seattle , WA 98109-5016
It’s apparently very close to the museum and Ryan may also be staying there, not sure though.
OK, I’ve booked it all. I’ll be staying at the Mediterranean Inn as the Best Western is full.
We are indeed staying at the Best Western Executive Inn. I would be very happy to join you guys in visiting @Cyberpred1 if that’s OK with him. Which day is which activity? I would assume that Saturday evening might be better suited to that and then Sunday to a museum visit, given that the museum closes pretty early and at least Gary and I are arriving mid-afternoon at SEATAC, which is kind of far from downtown.
Perhaps we could also all go out to dinner together on Sunday evening in Seattle. It’s not my favorite restaurant city in the world, but I have been to and like these places:
I’m at SEATAC at 13:00 on the twelfth and will have a car. After that I’m open to whatever works best. Sunday would be good for the EMP and I’d like to check out the Boeing museum again on Monday, if open that is.
Saturday the 12th is best for us. Bring props to show.
What time? We are 50 miles North East of Seattle
It would need to be the evening it would seem.
I sent an email to the curator Brooks Peck to see if we could meet up on Sunday. I’ll keep you posted.
