That looks pretty good Steve
Steve -- If you offer a kit for modding the original vacuum, I'm in!
Great thread guys! Thanks for this find Steve. I just grabbed this item from eBay.
Looking great! What a cool prop!
Here is my finished piece, on display at the tour. Thanks to Steve p. for rising to the challenge and identifying this thing for me. I have had that photo of Shatner holding this thing for years and could not figure out what they used to make it.
Sweet prop James! After seeing this prop, it looks like a sex toy. LOL the fan blade looks deadly! Very interesting that Shatner is holding it.
Very nice finished piece. What did you use to fashion the two rings holding the blades in place?
All of the parts for James' prop were laser cut plastic including the ring. Soon you will be seeing updates on the tread as I build mine up.
Laser cut fins from my buddy with the cutter.
This is a very fragile prop. I think I know why it only had a brief appearance on the show, the actor probably dropped it and that was it. gone!
Looks quite nice Steve.
That happened to one of my props on STAR TREK CONTINUES. So I had another one made.
There is a "CHADWICK PILOT STAR FAN LIGHT VACUUM BRUSH Flashlight" on Ebay for $20.00 "Buy It Now".
Which one Dave?
My Squire of Gothos beacon thing was dropped and the tip sheared off. A hazard of loaning one's treasures. But the 3D Chess Set survived annihilation onscreen with nary A scratch!
So I'm trying to put one together too... Cause it's just such a weird prop.Question ? what diameter are the rings on your build and how did you attach it to the pilot star itself ?Thanks !
