Once again I have a piece that I have no idea where it came from. If anyone has any ideas I would be grateful. It is a large piece of a backlit panel but cut down because it was ripped from the set during demolition. It was literally saved from the floor. I dont know what series/movie it is from but most likely post TNG. This piece is 3 feet long and at one time it was much larger. Any ideas?
It does look very familiar. It looks orangish, is that just the lighting?
That seems to remind me of the large backlit panels seen in Sickbay (around the diagnostic bed) and the science labs on VOY. Those were blue though, whereas this one's red/orange.
It is very orange. I have watched Voyager except the last season because it reminded me of Voyager but have seen nothing like it in orange so far.
Perhaps it was used in the background of some alien station or starship?
I'm inclined to think it would be used on a Starfleet set, even if not on Voyager herself.
Engineering First Contact. Penny gave me one just like it.
Interesting. It's very similar in design pattern to that of the Delta Flyer warp core
Enterprise E sickbay around the main bio-bed.
That was the warp core?!
Rusty, you are correct. Because they were backlit with blue or purple and white they are very hard to detect on DVD...thank God for Blu-Ray!!! There seem to have been 2 of them in Engineering and both on the left side of this screen grab in the tubes...only one can be seen here. This explains why it was shaped the way it was when it was ripped out of the tube!
I'll post mine when i get home
My bad! Nice spot.
Here is mine.
Nice...Longer and cut out not ripped by a butter knife and walked on like mine...lol
It's the stumper Control panel for Galexy Quest. lOL
These graphics are also very similar to the ones in Tuvok and Kim's bridge stations. Which, I believe, is why they looked so familiar to me, though I couldn't place them.
Chances are it used rotating polarized light to give it motion...
