Brass ordered , mechanism worked out rings being made, I am building a custom soundboard using the 16meg Adafruit Soundboard this is a really remarkable board for the price , but it’s not that simple , you do need amplification , so if you just buy the basic board , you’ll need a few additions . I went for a 2 WattMono amp , a usb with lipo charger give you rechargeable power 3.7v and a small one inch dia 4 ohm speaker for reasonable quality sound . By mounting the speaker at the rear of the main body the tube will act like a resonance chamber amplifying the sound ( well hopefully). The working lasers have been built and tested separately when the head piece is finished, i’ll mount the lasers and do a working test . I am using a new technique i’ve developed to add a more theatrical effect to the nozzle tips ,essentially i’ve cast an opaque liner to fit inside each hollow acrylic nozzle , if you’ve seen any phaser laser the acrylic nozzles ‘glow’ using an effect known as Rayleigh radiation , this is what makes a beam visible and sparkle , the light emission hits the material and disperses , just like dust in the atmosphere obviously the less direct sunlight the better however the silicon inner lining really enhances the effect .
