Believe me, I’d hate to be scratch building everything that I’ve printed so far to make the building easier. The time spent designing a part in CAD is no more than designing it to scratch build, plus you get a better part to use, and if you need more than one?
Instead of making each sub-step on all three units, I took one to the end of the step which finishes the basic construction of the display and hinge section.
The switch test fit. I plan on laminating a thin layer of sheet styrene over the oval button.
The hinge arm finishers installed.
And the slots for getting wiring between the base assembly and the display assembly.
And everything in place.
