Yep and getting near the home stretch. I cut and placed most of the graphics on today as well as mounting the upper sections on. I still have to finish the oval switches and make the black acrylic plates which I haven’t started yet. The vinyl cutter was indispensable for this.
Very nice, what kind of vinyl cutter are you using? Would love to see photos of it in action.
It’s a Silhouette Cameo and I don’t think I’ve taken any pictures.
Thanks, I’m intrigued by this technology, hope you can show more with it as you use it.
Finished the wiring tonight and put the screens in.
You’re like the Starfleet quartermaster!
I have the black plates and remaining graphics on, plus the screws that needed painting on. All that’s left are the oval buttons.
I cannot wait to see these in action!
I’ll make a YouTube video when they’re done.
I’ll admit, I was never really much of a fan of the DS9 design seeing them on screen, but damn if you haven’t made them look awesome! Wish I’d gotten one of these now, lol.
Have just seen this in action on you tube. Very very nicely done sir!
They were a lot of work and maybe the hardest prop I’ve ever made, or at least right up there. I don’t think I could have done them without the 3D printer, Canon photo printer and the vinyl cutter.
They are done.
They are fantastic Scott…
That is awesome! Not to mention stunning. Also incredibly amazing. And did I mention I love it? An absolute work of art. Plus it’s super cool. Oh, and did I say how much I love it??
I’m with ponyboy, just wow, wow, wow!
The view of the three together feels very Starfleet and I love it. Really beautifully finished prop.
