Insane … !!!
How did you print the screen?
I drew it up in Illustrator, then printed it on transparency paper, and cut the black parts out In vinyl so the light wouldn’t bleed through
Pretty cool. What was your lighting solution?
LED strips and an Arduino
Finished up last night! On a side note, if anyone breaks a tab on the lid hinge, let me know. I did and drew up a new one an printed it off. So I can send you the file if needed.
Nice work Jason.
Thanks. I contemplated painting it like the pic of the real one but wanted it to match my other Klingon props
I think it looks great and very convincing.
Does anyone have screencaps where it appears in an episode?
Came out great Jason!
This is definitely on my list of props to make in the new year.
I recognise the two greebles as being “Robotix” parts. You can see the cog-like greeble in this photo (although the piece is shown in two parts - the wheel and the tyre). I have seen Robotix parts used in other Trek props as well (the Federation tug for example).
I hope this helps!
Oh yes. The grey “wheel” parts that would have the rubber cog belts added. Nice find.
