I recently purchased this grenade which was made for production but not used. It included a good bit of the electronics as well but they were loose inside the prop. The construction is some type of foam and the paint is that used for production. I believe ISS made this but I'm not sure I have that information correct so someone correct me if I'm wrong.
Here's what I received. Both end caps are removable.
Here's a few photos I took of the prop off my TV. I don't have a BluRay capable drive in my PC unfortunately.
So today I sorted out the mystery of the electronics. The transistor looking part was labelled 2581 and for a good while I couldn't find any reference to it because I had assumed it was a transistor. When I was testing the circuit with a six volt battery, I discovered it was a flasher circuit in itself and that it's part number was in fact M2581. The spec. sheet for that part listed the voltage range as 3 - 4.5 volts and now I knew what batteries to use.
Moving on I got the thing assembled and working although I still need to find a proper battery arrangement.
I will make some acrylic windows for the slots which will make them light up nicer. I'm still waiting for the video to become available and will post it as soon as possible.
EDIT: It is ISS not ITT. I new I was wrong.
