My dad and I were on the phone for a good portion of the auction having a good time commenting back and forth throughout about the auctioneer’s schtick. It made it much more tolerable.
I ended up with 10 panels. I got one small Romulan panel, one faux Isolinear chip bay, and 8 TNG panel fragments.
I didn’t get any of the larger ones, as I didn’t want to spend too much at the auction. My main goal was to get a few different styles, so I can use them as reference for replicating panels. They’ll also make nice display pieces that don’t take up too much room.
I had to leave about two-thirds of the way through the auction, so I put absentee bids in for several of the later lots, expecting to get outbid on most of them. As luck would have it, I won a few more than expected. I’ll probably end up gifting a couple and unloading a couple more on eBay. I’m looking forward to adding the rest to my collection and building some display cases.
