Just wanted to share a couple new custom display bases I had made by the plastics shop near me (just picked them up today). First up is one I had made for my stunt B5 PPG from Terry over at the TPZ:
I plan on going to eBay seller "thepastorjedi" to get a custom MR-style display plaque made up, which will be applied to the bottom-left corner beneath the PPG.
Next up is a production-made (but not set-used, as far as I know) Starfleet equipment supply label I was fortunate enough to buy from an Australian eBayer earlier in the summer:
Like the custom display frame I had made for the four personalized trading cards I got from Dietrich over at the TPZ, this one has a 1/16" recessed area in the back panel with a thin panel held in front to protect the label from damage.
My intention was to use chicago screws for this one as well, but turns out I need to buy longer ones given the overall thickness of the display frame. I'm using regular screws in the meantime to hold it together.
I also had two other acrylic displays -- similar to the PPG one -- made to hold my two CaptJTK crapazoid P2's (one B&W, the other later season colour scheme), but the pegs didn't line up correctly to hold the P2's level so they have to be reworked. I hope to pick those up soon, though.
Anyway, I've decided to come up with these designs for displays to help free up some space in my new shelving units, to better display my collection rather than just have everything lying on thier sides lol
EDIT: Fixed broken images.
