Well, he is also a member here. Just do a search (magnifying glass up in the top-right corner of your screen) for "gbaldi". You should find his profile, then be able to message him directly. The message button is in the top-right corner of the profile screen.
As for what I collect Trek-wise, pretty much anything except ENT and the JJ Abrams reboot films. I have a little bit of everything else in my collection; Communicators, Tricorders and P2's from TOS, same for TNG through to VOY. A bunch of it's not built yet though, lol.
I'm big on the rarer, more obscure props (seen maybe only once or twice in a show) and as those ones are not readily available I've scratch-built a few. Made an accurately-sized TNG Medkit (it's my wife's favourite piece, lol), Geordi's three different engineering PADDs, Neelix's PADD from "Investigations" and an accurately-size TMP Wrist Comm complete with lights.
More recently, I've gotten away from buying up anything prop-wise (like I said, I've still got a lot of stuff waiting to be built) and have begun focusing more on how to properly display a lot of the finished pieces in my collection, hence the reason for this particular thread.
You can find pics of my current prop room layout here --> http://discuss.fleetworkshop.org/t/toy-room/249
Sorry to hear about the divorce, but for someone starting to rebuild thier collection from scratch you came to the right place. There's a lot of talented folks here who can usually help you with anything you're looking for.
This forum is different from others in that its focus isn't on buying or selling props but more the R&D behind the props we all love. Of course, that doesn't mean you can't reach out to someone privately through PM's to see if they can help you source a particular item. If they can't, chances are they can point you in the direction of someone who can.
