Definitely closer for me than other venues. I likely wouldn't have to deal with the long stop-overs like I did when flying down to Georgia, lol.
I might have to see about flying down for a Fall prop meet there if it does happen. Would be good to see all you guys again
Has anyone seen Vic Mignona's sets in Ga.? Those look amazing too!
Well, as I just mentioned above:
So yes, lol. Last December. Finally met folks I'd known in the hobby for years. Lots of fun.
With the Ticonderoga sets fully enclosed, I imagine it would feel more like being on a starship.
As soon as you come into the shuttle craft airlock A-frame door, you are completely immersed. As long as you don't look up.
I'm thinking late September/October before the weather goes south for the Winter we could meet up. Joe had come to the May meat up we hosted and was blown away by the progress we have made from May to July. By Octer we may have the bridge completely close in or the science lab done...
I'm in just give me a date.
Let me connect up with James this weekend and I will let you all know.
I'd love to fly up to see those sets, but I'm afraid the airfare would be pricey.
I'll check when you guys come up with firm dates.
Had a great time at the last meet up. The sets were amazing! Hoping another event can be scheduled.
We did have a Great time didn't we.
I will talk to James this weekend about dates in sept/October to do another prop meet.
I'll be in Vegas March 27-30, and I'm coming to see this amazing recreation!! Can't wait! Where do I find the top secret backstage passes?
Personally I'd prefer October/November.
September is pretty full and coming up really fast.
Incredible!!! I will say unashamedly when I stepped into the curved corridor I got very choked up. For 43 years I have become so familiar with every bit of those sets to stand there and have it look like an episode still is mind-bending! I will be back many times! Thank you James Cawley!!!!
Awesome images, @PKaneProps! Thanks for sharing all these here.
PS: I removed what appeared to be an accidental duplicate of your post.
Very nice pic's thanks for posting them.
Is the main viewscreen functional in any way yet?
It's functional in every way, it's a flat screen monitor. I watched several movies and at the last prop event we watched the doomsday machine on it.
Great pictures Patrick!
It was really cool sitting at the helm while watching The Doomsday Machine.
The sets are amazing!
Yeah I got to sit in the Captain's Chair while we were watching it.It was the Best Ever.
