I don't know if I would say "officially" but the pictures in my previous post show the BFM0225 as compared to the early-2000s Plasti-kote color that was accepted to be the "correct" color at the time. You may draw your own conclusion as to whether the Dupli-color paint is a good match to the Plasti-kote.
In addition, judging from auction reference, I'm inferring that the Plasti-kote color that was talked about at the time was the paint that used on the static phasers given the static phaser is the darker of the two versions. But this is using auction photos from separate sources and separate photography methods, so it's not a clear concrete thing. In my mind, though, this satisfies my accuracy needs.
One further thing to check would be the Roddenberry (HMS) Nemesis phaser kit instructions. I can't remember what paint color they recommend there but that might provide additional direction.
