Does anyone have templates for the parts made out of brass sheet in the TOS Phaser I and Phaser II? I've been able to find dimensions for nearly all parts of the hero phaser, except for these.
Well, the only brass parts I can think of are the P1 emitter and P2 release.
Those wouldn't be made from brass sheet, but rather hollow and/or solid brass rod.
Unless I'm misunderstanding what you're asking.
The brass parts I'm referring to are pieces like the brass frame for the aspirator grille, the battery contacts, the pivoting pieces etc. On the PII it's also pieces cut from brass sheet, like the piece screwed into the hubbell socket, the piece of brass the trigger is mounted to, etc.
I have all that...
Do you think you'd be willing to post some scans here? That way anyone looking to build a hero P1 can do so from scratch.
Would a scan of the brass hood (before bending) from a JLong P1 kit be beneficial?

The Jlong hood is oversized, too long and too wide. The sight opening in the GJ P1 is actually narrower than the Jlong hood. This is my template based on the GJ measurements, print it at 100% for full size.P1 Graphics REVISED.pdf (75.7 KB)
Thank you, really have to wonder how & why JLongs P1 kit is the wrong size after he examined and measured the original hero version.
