I am asking for prayers and warm thoughts for my pal, Prop maker Ed Miarecki. Ed suffered a stroke yesterday and I am just quite beside myself at the news.
You’ve got it, James. Hope Ed makes a complete and rapid recovery.
Oh my, I do hope it was a mild one.
I am shocked and so sorry to hear of this.
Thoughts and prayers…will hold him in the light. Just saw him this last weekend at the set. He had done some work for James and brought it to the set.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery from across the pond.
I do hope he recovers quickly and is feeling himself again.
He was always kind to me whenever I corresponded with him.
When I saw the thread title, my stomach sank.
I can’t believe this. I just received a couple of his pieces that I purchased from him. I hope this is a mild stroke and he makes a full recovery. He’s one of the greats.
Thanks for sharing here for the power of our thoughts and prayers. Hope it was mild and he has a full recovery from this.
Oh no Prayers for a speedy recovery with no ill after-effects.
In our prayers
Very sad today. After moving back east to Connecticut I realized Ed lived 20 minutes from me. Have hung out with him in his shop, he is a curmudgeonly sweet soul. He HAS to recover from this. I just saw him last weekend at the sets in Ticonderoga and asked him candidly if when he was a kid he ever thought he would stand on the Enterprise and he said, no I am still a kid. He was walking around all day By himself looking at things.
Here’s an update on Ed. I was able to get a hold of Pat on the phone. She said the stoke have effected his left side Vision, arm and leg. He Is at Baystate Hospital in Springfield Ma. I am going to go down tomorrow morning for a visit and be with him for a while. I will send well wishes from all of you and let him know we are all thinking about him in this difficult time.
Very sorry to hear. I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Miarecki at at Ticonderoga back in June of last year. A true gentleman and craftsman. I hope he will recover fully.
Very sorry to hear this. I haven’t had the fortune to meet him, but I certainly know and respect him. I wish him well.
Thanks for letting us know James and for the up date Steve. Nan and I send our best to Ed and his family and wish him a speedy recovery.
Thoughts and prayers for you Ed and your family…
Oh man! Ed has made me some beautiful custom props that I’ll always cherish. He was the only guy to say “yes” when I approached him about making some obscure Star Trek props while others didn’t want to or didn’t have the skill. I don’t have the skill or tools so I’m very appreciative of Ed taking on the challenges when I asked him and ended up with absolutely incredible items that were so professionally made. He’s quite the craftsman and has an incredible eye for the details. Plus just a super nice guy. I’m wishing him well with my deepest thoughts and prayers. Get better Ed! Take care!!
