I just came across this upcoming product announcement for most of the later series uniforms:
Opening in 2018, ‘Dr. Bowman’s Fantastical Emporium’ (or, ‘TheBowmanEmporium’ in Etsy-speak) will offer a range of custom hand-dyed fabrics suitable for use in Star Trek uniform costumes, using screen-accurate materials in screen-accurate colors. Store offerings will eventually include all 3 TNG division colors in wool gabardine and super-spandex, all 4 (yes, 4) division colors for the VOYAGER style jumpsuit yoke, division color stripes for the ENTERPRISE jumpsuit, as well as undertunic fabric in all 3 FIRST CONTACT/NEMESIS division colors and VOYAGER gray. (And just maybe a few surprises along the way…)
This is Michael Cowart who is said to have fabric swatches from the shows and has been figuring out how to reproduce them accurately. This info came from a recently updated Bad Wolf Costumes tutorial.
I know this board is prop focused, but I thought this might be interesting to some of you, especially if this is a limited time offering. Maybe someone here has always wanted to make a uniform and this might be the best time to make a hyper-accurate one. I just hope his placeholder prices are not what he ends up charging!
