IGES is an international, vendor-agnostic file format for specifying 3D blueprints. There are many programs that can read it, but I generally recommend Autodesk Fusion 360, because it’s free for hobbyists, students, and businesses with less than a quarter million per year in revenue. Looks like I should make that tutorial video sooner rather than later. The trick to opening files in Fusion is you have to create a project and then upload the IGES file into that project (which is all stored in the cloud).
Looks like I should make that video sooner rather than later. Or if you want me to walk you through it over the phone, Joe, I’m happy to do so.
