I guess I gotta go there. It’s 2 Hours 11 Minutes from home. A double whammy if James is there. Elvis & Star Trek, Classic.
Let me know SGT when your planning on going, I want to give you the tour myself and finally meet an on-line frIend of many year!!
Wish I was that close !!!
Yes Steve, I too wanna meet the creator of so many TOS Props, I love your work. James is lucky to have you.
Hold your hats! Not done yet but Ed and I are making very good progress.
Good God that is perfection!!! I first saw the Jeffries tube last July and it was empty and barren. It is now alive with correct color and detail!!!
Great pics Steve, thanks. When will the 11 footer be finished? The antenna looks great so far.
That is so cool! Can’t wait to see this on my next visit.
Steve, that looks fantastic! Can’t wait to see it up close!
Ed and I are both down to about six items each left to make. This has been a lot of work! We are working with about 30 pictures, it will have every detail the original had.
All I can say is Fantastic guy’s great job.
Can’t wait to see it.
Every time you guys post new stuff, I want to hop in my car and make the hour drive. Not sure I can hold out til the June event.
The progress is mind boggling. You guys make a good team and what a better place to be then on the U.S.S. Enterprise.
The 14 year old boy in me is very happy when I work up there on this project. And to be working with Ed, it doesn’t get any better than that!
It’s only an hour for you!!!??? I would be there 3 times a month brother Joel!!!
Finished the deflector dish back plate and attaching stem. James is painting them and will be posting pictures soon.
The Sensor Dish for our rebuild has been completed! The support shaft still has to be painted its custom color. Bill George did the dish and Steve Pielock made the spire and support shaft, and I am doing the painting.
Please list all paint colors used as you progress.
Beautiful work, gentlemen. That is just perfect.
Looks great guys! I would be curious to know if the restored Smithsonian ship uses a commercially available item for the nacelle domes, or were they custom?
