Steve is correct, it is as close as it gets to the original, we have still have some touch up painting to do in there and one more small adjustment, but as is it is an incredible piece of work and I am so thrilled to see this finished this way! Kudos to the Team!
This is such an incredible feat. To finish this little corner of the sets, this amazing gem, is so thrilling! Steve Pielock and Sir Ed Miarecki made this a reality. Ok, so I was a bit contorted behind the tube screwing the Doo dads in but I am honored and humbled to have my initials added next to these two artists.
Patrick, you know I am a stickler for details, since we can find no shots of what that lettering actually read, I think there can be no better tribute than to add the initials of you three, right there next to the tube you worked on!
More comparing fun...
I see a missing item! There looks to be another red bar across the opening at the top.
It only appeared in that one episode and then was moved to the top of the tube where we have it in ours. They moved it because if it's there your head mashes right into it when you climb into the tube. Scott, can you see the fuse?
I see four fuses.
LMAO! I'll bet you do...
I see four cams.
I see dead people.
Well. somebody had to do it.
James, have you ever given any thought to adding the "laser cannon" from "The Cage" episode? It would look nice next to the rest of your "Cage" props.
I don't know that we'd have room for the laser cannon it's rather large?
Here's one more with different lighting effects
James, that screen looks great at the top of the tube. Gives it the same look as the original TMOST pic.
I'm starting to sketch out a forced perspective extension drawing of the 150 foot long shaft. This is about the only thing that I haven't displayed on this board is my artistic abilities, this might be the piece that does that...
Right, that's what I see too. It's just so great.
Some crazy thoughts photography
That's a great idea Steve. I was thinking the upper end needed something like that. Can't wait to see this in person.
