Fantabulous Steve. Is that going to be vac formed or used as is?
Use as is, the original was hard wood. I like your vacuume form idea, one could then build a scale interior!!!
FA - REE - KING SWEEEET Steve!!
That is pretty awesome Steve; great job!
That would be a nice desk top display! It would even be a better desk top display with the B & C decks!!!
That is just beautiful.
I was thinking the same thing.
An extremely talented woodworker built a 3 foot long Enterprise using techniques quite similar to that used on the original 3 footer (i.e. turning the major pieces on a lathe); here's his tip for fitting the B-C deck to the saucer:
Excellent work as always SteveP.
Great work! This is going to be amazing!
That looks terrific, it amazes me that the Enterprise was basically carved out of blocks of wood.
Paint is an amazing covering!
Super excited to see all the progress since I was last there. You have put so much hard work in Stephen. Just from my one day there helping I got a glimpse of all the passionate work from so many people.
It's been a year since I was up and I'm really looking forward to seeing in person all the work glimpsed at and teased in this progress thread that has been done since. Trekonderoga 2017!
I cannot wait to get back up there!!!
James Cawley''s Star Trek Tour received a $300,000 donation to purchase the trek tour building! Here is the local press on it.
This is awesome, and very deserved. Very happy for James, and for all of us fans.
I am floored. This good fortune is cementing a place in Trek history well after I leave this world!!! James has to be walking on clouds right now!!!
