This was my first design for the Orville whatever they call it , it's updated now since the latest episode revealed a lot of detail
MMMmmmmMMMmMmMmmmmMmmm, I'm fascinated but haven't studied these props right now.
That's an attractive design. It's amazing to me how many variations of a present day pistol that over the years, sci-fi productions have come up with.
I like the props but the costumes ...not so much.I wonder if these props will become collectible like Star Trek props
Yep, not a bad design... but it does remind me of a bar code scanner.
Set Phasers/tazers/Lasers to BLIP!
There are some pictures of the prop, supposedly from the prop master, on an Orville FB group. If I can snag them, I will.
That would be insane ! Thanks !
I've got the pictures from the FB group, but it seems that I don't know how to post pictures here. Help?
Drag and drop into your post is all you need do.
So, here they are...
Ha those are my photos! I gave Yin permission to post them over there. These are from the tour before the premier and the prop master had them on the table for display as you walked through the sets.
Oh, sorry! I hope I didn't breach any rules or trust by grabbing them from FB!
no that's fine I meant to post them over here just haven't had time.
That changes a few things on my model then..
Here's my progress so far. These new screenshots change a few things though.
Looks really good! The underside isn't closed off if you look at the metal parts they extend down under the cowl.
7seas got me this screen shot; the best view I've seen of the underside so far. It shows the angled end of the cowl encases everything before going back toward the trigger well.
your're correct sorry, forgot it swooped back
Have I mentioned how much fun this weapon is? From some angles it looks like a highly sophisticated, variable-intensity directed energy firearm. And then from other angles it looks almost banana shaped. I'm not convinced that isn't intentional!
