If you read all of the Facebook post comments, the vast, vast majority are comments of people lusting after the thing and being excited about. There have been nearly 7,000 shares of the post, after all, by other people to their friends and family.
No matter what price you make anything, there will always be people on the internet who whine about the cost. One must have the courage of one’s convictions when making an item like this. In any case, things cost what they cost. Indeed the reason I made the video was to show how much care and work goes into these. We wanted to do something really special for the 50th, and something that would be answer to all the very cheap and less accurate replicas that had come before (about which people also complained!), and I’m happy to say that we did that.
