So along with an Uncle Milton NM8 Hydro Pak Drink Bottle to call my very own, at the same time I lucked out in obtaining the same style of travel alarm clock as was used for the future Mk XV Tricorder used by Seven of Nine in the episode "Relativity".
This is where it gets interesting, though. We all know that the original base item was an Oregon Scientific Travel Alarm Clock (Serial # AS316NE). Well, the one I managed to picked up isn't Oregon Scientific, but rather L.L. Bean:
I guess they ended up opening up the design patent to other companies to use for thier own products, which is good for us prop hobbyists in that we have a wider range of found items to look for now. We have options Just wanted to share that little bit of insight with everyone here.
I'm currently working on getting a full set of hero graphics plus some lens inserts for the top end so I can finish this up as it should be. I used to own a Stapleton Productions static Mk XV years ago, so it'll be great to be have a similar build back in my collection.
