I just found this tool but I don't know what the name is. Can anybody help?
I don't know that it has a name but it started out in early TNG and pops up here and there throughout the run of the show. Might even be one of the props that came from TMP?
correct also its in s6e13 tng!
Seen here in Geordi's case in 2x21 "Peak Performance," where it probably spent a lot of time.
Greetings, This tool is seen in TNG and in Generations. If I had to give it a name I would call it TNG engineering phase decomplier.
yes but later i only found this acrylic led rod, so that what be a good start.
its not complex and easy to do
it this a orignal one or a coustum one?
It was built by @jhusel I believe.
in his new 3d print workflow?
i didnt follow the thread because it makes me jealous (is the word correct?) with the work speed
This is one of those iconic TNG proos that I hope to add to my collection when time permits. I also like the hand held beacon that Data uses to illuminate Geordi when he changes into that chameleon like creature, these two props are deffinately on my wish list!
Here is a Marco Enterprise NG Engineering Tool very simular.
That's a great iconic misc hand prop, one I've always liked. I love this groups obsession for obscure items like this. Also excited for the look at the Marco version, that's not one I had seen before.
Yeah that's one I made several years back. I made it from wood, then black plexiglass, acrylic rod, and styrene. Then had vinyl lettering cut and added silver pinstripes.
This is the beacon I refered to earlier, it shows up all over the place so I'm sure there are better screen grabs. I like it's appearance in this episode as we see Data modifying it in engineering and it goes from a pile of parts into a fully assembled piece of equipment in a matter of seconds! Always makes me smile when I watch it, Data likes building props too!
