Not… usually, I mean maybe. UV’s in the plurals could either refer to “UV Maps” or the correletion between points in UV space to XYZ space, or the textures that are painted in UV space. For example, UV maps for something I did a wile back…
I then took that geometry and then painted on it.
And if you wrap all those around the geometry you get The Light of Dawn!
I was intentionally trying to copy the art style of the Disney Cartoon “Rebels,” hence the kind of pencil on textured paper quality. The first group of three images are UV Maps, the second are UV Diffuse Textures, and it wouldnt’ be incorrect to refer to either the first set, the second set, or both sets as “UVs” collectively.
And for the record, in 3d space they are called vertices or occasionally points. I think it’s still technically a vertex in UV space as well.
